to refuse to let you take something of mine
to play around with it, push it around and even drop it ...
to let you treat it so carelessly,
when I know that in the end,
if it breaks,
I am the one who will be left trying to fix it ...
somewhere along the second line,
I think I stopped thinking of just that ring falling.
But it was very interesting symbolically.
